Pot Holes

Pot holes tend to show up in spring throughout the City and County. Pot holes will be more extreme if the winter has frequent fluctuations in temperature above and below the freezing mark.

All roads inside the City are not maintained by the City of Morgantown. Most of the major roads (State Routes) are maintained by the WV Division of Highways (WVDOH) such as:

Beechurst Avenue
Monongahela Blvd.
Patteson Drive
Willey Street
Route 7
Greenbag Road
South University Ave
Collins Ferry Road
College Ave
parts of High Street
parts of Spruce Street

The WVDOH maintains State Routes by paving in summer months and plowing in winter months. See the two maps below to determine which agency maintains a City road. State roads are shown in yellow, other roads within the City limits are maintained by the City of Morgantown
