Regular meeting
Present: Pam Ball, Darryl DeGrippe, Virginia Evans, Larry Sypolt, Rick McEwuen, Teresa Miller, and Wally Venable.
Pam Ball called the meeting to order at
Minutes from the previous meeting were distributed and approved as written.
Darrell reported that the profits from the cell phone/ toner cartridge collection totaled $69.20. It was decided that the monies from this check would be used for petty cash. Darryl will pick up a lock box from Barry’s Office Supply using the BOPARC funds. Paula will approach the Tanners regarding access to the use of the large safe. Larry suggested an alternative would be to purchase a gun safe (about $600 at Sam’s Club).
Pam reported that there has been no response yet to the proposed budget that was submitted to the city. Letters of support have been slow coming in, although several important ones have been received in recent days. More have been promised and should arrive soon. The pass-through account has been set up with GMCT and the papers were signed on May 31st.
The new employee, Laura, has been working on a brochure for
WV day celebration and has volunteered to make the covers for the “stamp story
book “ children’s project. The brochures will be printed with 250 in
full color and 250 in black on orchid.
Wally will do a display on Gentile Glass in one of the cases. Larry will do a display on the WV Centennial
in another case.
Darryl will check on the status of the locks for the cases.

July 9th –15th Mannette Festival of Steel
Sept. 23rd –26th Don Knotts Celebration dedication of a star at the Metropolitan Theatre.
