Pam called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. Minutes from the previous meeting were distributed and approved as written.
The Morgantown Public Library book sale begins tomorrow morning. Michael will go to the sale on behalf of the Museum, closing the museum, if need be, for an hour or two. The Commission authorized Michael to spend up to $100.00 on books pertaining to Morgantown, Monongalia County, or WV history.
Next Wednesday Pam will present a verbal justification for the grant proposal to the Greater Morgantown Community Trust.
Michael is working on entering some of the recent artifact donations into the “Collectify” program. Pam and Michael attended the Mon River Summit and set up a display table again this year. Pam said the Summit was well attended. The banner ordered from the Sign Factory was not ready yet, so Michael printed the course of the Monongahela River through Monongalia County on paper to use in the display.
Scott is working with Literati for the museum web presence. Literati is hosting the website, which is under construction and should be available in about 3 weeks. There was a discussion of the Google Search link, which could generate about a penny per hit. The Commission approved the link. Scott will implement when practical.
Mark announced that BOPARC is
negotiating for a five-year extension of the lease for the Potter-McCune
building. The Museum would occupy half of the building and Positive Spin
would occupy the other half. Mark said that there is a total of about

the budget for the museum for 2009/2010 has been increased $5,000.00 to
$25,000.00 to allow for the increased utility costs after the move to the
waterfront building. Pam will try to set up a meeting with
