We are building an Inclusive Community
In 2007, the City of Morgantown, West Virginia University, and The Monongalia County School System agreed to work together and develop an Inclusive Community Committee in an effort to make all people of Morgantown feel that they are a apart of community. The goals of the Committee are :
- Plan and conduct mutually agreed upon celebrations and events
- Jointly conduct programs and activities promoting appreciation for all peoples and the personal worth of every individual
- Identify programs and services that develop and sustain welcoming environments, enhance global awareness, and promote optimum opportunities for personal growth and living
- Collaborate with additional partners, as appropriate, to provide encouragement and leadership in helping attain inclusivity in our community
