The
City of
The
source of funding for projects is the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD). In order for activities to qualify for funding, the City of
1. Activities, which benefit
persons of low- to moderate- income designation is based on income and number
of people in the household
2. Activities which aid in the
prevention or elimination of slums and blight; or
3. Activities, which address
projects, designed to meet community development needs having particular
urgency because existing conditions pose a serious and immediate threat to the
health or welfare of the community where other financial resources are not
available to meet such needs.
Persons
of low- or moderate-income are encouraged to attend and provide guidance into
the type of projects that have and can affect their financial or quality of
life concerns. If people with special needs, including non-English speaking
needs plan to attend, please contact the City Manager’s Office (304) 284-7405 at
least one week prior to the public hearing to allow appropriate accommodations.

unable to attend this public hearing but wishing to make their views known may

The
proposed 2009-2014 Consolidated Plan and 2009 Action Plan may be reviewed at
the Morgantown Public Library, the City Manager’s Office, the BOPARC
Administrative Office and the
